Mr. William ""Robot"" Harris, 61, a native of Savannah, had his transition Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Hospice Savannah.
A 1964 graduate of Sol C. Johnson High School, ""Robot"", as he was affectionately called, received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army after serving two terms in the Vietman War. He was a member of First Beaulah Baptist Church 14 Railroad Avenue, Savannah, GA. 31419. He also was a member of The Gospel Aires and the Church Choir.
Survivors: wife, Dorothy O. Harris of Savannah; son, Lamar Harris of Savannah; three brothers: Charles (Ethel) Harris, Tyronne (Pauline) Harris, all of Savannah and Robert Harris of New York; three grands; two brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; a special friend, Jestine Marshall; a host of nieces, nephews, other extended relatives and friends.
Funeral service: 11:00am Saturday, September 6, 2008 at First Beaulah Baptist Church, 14 Railroad Avenue, Savannah, GA 31419 Rev. Lewis A. Grant, Pastor Public viewing: Friday, September 5, 2008 at Adams Funeral Services, Inc. In 9:00am until the hour of service. Interment: Sweetfield of Eden Baptist Church Cemetery, 9630 Lehigh Avenue, Savannah, GA 31406.
