Thelma Williams Ingram

Mrs. Thelma W. Ingram, 97, had her transition Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Candler General Hospital.

Mrs. Ingram was born in Savannah, Georgia on June 3, 1911 to the late Albert and Minnie Mitchell Williams. She was married to the late Eugene Ingram, Sr. She was a graduate and well known basketball player for Beach-Cuyler Junior High School. She retired fron Union Camp Bag Company after thirty plus years. One daughter, Elizabeth I. Chestnut, preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons: Eugene Ingram, Jr. (Dorothy) and Roland Ingram; two daughters, Dorothy B. Wilson and Harriett I. Brown; twenty grands; thirty-eight great-grands; 6 great-great-grands; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service: 2:00pm Friday, February 20, 2009 at Adams Funeral Services, Inc Chapel, 510 Stephenson Street, Savannah, GA.
Interment: Laurel Grove Cemetery, Savannah, GA.
