Logistics Specialist, Robert John Nowlin, Jr. was born in Baltimore, MD on September 18, 1985. He was the son of Robert and Erlene Nowlin.
He entered the United States Army on November 13, 2003 and after attending Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, he was stationed at Fort Stewart, GA, home of the Dog Faced Solider. As a Logistics Specialist, Robert performed his duties to the highest standard and was a dependable and hardworking Soldier. He was a Combat Soldier recently returned from his second tour in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. On August 23, 2008, Robert John Nowlin, Jr. was promoted to Sgt.
While serving at Fort Stewart, he met and married his devoted wife, Marquita White Nowlin.
Anyone who knew Robert would say he was a fun, loving, fair compassionable guy. Robert was quick to defend and come to the aid of anyone who was in need. You never had to worry about where you stood with him.
He was devoted to his wife, friends, fellow soldiers and

He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving wife, Marquita, parents: Robert and Erlene Nowlin, Sr; four sisters: Shierra and Elaine Nowlin, Della Myers, and Brenda Bathea; brother, Justin Nowlin, all of Maryland; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ernest and Naomi White, Sr.; two sisters-in-law: Kim White and Sapphie Courtney, all of Florida; brother-in-law, Ernest (Akimmie) White, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; three nephews; a host of other extended relatives.
Robert had a strong circle of friends whose friendship sustained him throughout his military career, whom he loved dearly. They consist of : Rasheem (Rosena) Vereen, Ira Moye, Kervin (Daucus) Lewis, Sr., Viadell (Colleen) Brutton, Tekoya (Deandrea) Shuemake, Clifford (Brittney) Myers, Zykee (Luisa) Evans, Thomas (Savoya) Lovitt, Jamie (Pamela) Linen, Mr. Shegogg and, of course, the members of the D12 Unit, Sejae Allen, Marcel (Alison) Maniece, Clark Madison, Jese Mickey, Otis Lavant and Matthew Greg and the very special ""LT"" Mark D. Little.
Funeral service: 12:00 noon, Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Adams Funeral Services, Inc. Chapel, 510 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, GA, Pasroe and Cynthia Jones, Officiating. Interment: Lincolm Memorial Cemetery(Hunter Army Airfield) Savannah, GA.
