Retired Master Sgt. Alfonso Viviene Pelote, 55, had his transition Friday, October 10, 2008 under the excellent and professional care of Hospice Savannah, Inc., of Savannah, GA, surrounded by his loving and devoted family. A natve of Brooklyn, New York, he served his country for twenty-two years in the United States Air Force in the Vietnam and Desert Storm Wars where he received an Honorable Discharge. His father, Alexander Pelote, Sr., preceded him in death.
Survivors: wife, Angelique Daniel-Pelote; son, Leon Brown; daughters: Nicole Pelote-Flowers (Michael), Dominique Pelote, Ashley Pelote; mother, Vivian Pelote; brother, Alexander Pelote, Jr. (Essie); sisters: Gwendolyn Pelote, RoseMarie Pelote-Bowers (Purdy), Marietta Pelote-Daniel, Kerry Daniel and Teresa Pelote-Thornes (Eugene); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service: 11:00am Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Adams Funeral Services, Inc Chapel, 510 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, GA 31405. Public viewing: Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the funeral home. Interment: Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Glennville, Georgia.
Family will receive family and friends at the home of his sister, RoseMarie Pelote-Bowers, 1912 Champion Street (Liberty City).
