Mrs. Penny D. Patterson, 49, the wife of Jimmy Patterson, Jr., had her transition Tuesday, November 11, 2008, under the excellent and professional care at Hospice Savannah, Inc. in Savannah, GA.
A native of Savannah, GA, she attended the public schools of Chatham County and graduated from Alfred Eli Beach School Class of 1977. Penny was a faithful and dedicated employee of Cahaba GBA of Savannah for twenty years. Mrs. Patterson was a very devoted member of Church of Christ, Inc, under the pastorate of Elder Willie Ferrell.
To Penny, God was the center of her life and to all that met her, the love of GOD was evident through encouagimg of Words or Deeds.
Penny leaves to cherish and celebrate her life: a loving and devoted husfand of twenty-one years, Jimmy B. Patterson, Jr. of Savannah, GA; three children: Joel J. Patterson, JaBriele Patterson and Lakeia Dingle; a loving mother, Mary E. Fields; two grandsons: Keshawn and Kelley; one granddaughter. LaCara; two sisters: Cassandra Evans(John) and Peggy Grant (Ronald); three brothers: Charles Williams, Frank Williams (Sharalyn) and Anthony Williams (Angel); grandmother. Burlee Simon; aunt, Darling Brown; dedicated mother-in-law, Beulah B. Golden; two sisters-in-law, Deborah Green and Carlene Taylor; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relative and friends.
Funeral service: 1:00pm Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Tremont Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 1110 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, Rev. Rich Bready, Sr., Pastor/ Elder Willie Ferrell, Eulogist. Public viewing: Friday, November 14, 2008 from 1:00pm - 8:00pm at Adams Funeral Services, Inc, 510 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, GA. Mrs. Patterson will lie in state at the church, Saturday, at 10:00am until hour of service. Interment: Bonaventure Cemetery, Bonaventure Road, Savannah, GA.
