OBITUARY

Ms. Linda Joyce Brinson was born on March 11, 1957 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Mr. Ollie and Mrs. Ruby (Red) Wallace; birth mother Inez Shealy and sister Edna (Leonard) Patterson. Linda graduated from Statesboro High School in Statesboro, Georgia.

She was a resident of Savannah, Georgia, where she worked at Pitney Bowes and Brasseler USA. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and a beloved aunt who dedicated her life to her family.

She was a faithful Member of the Goodwill Missionary Baptist church of Savannah, Georgia under the leadership of Pastor Alphonso C. Piper, Sr. Here, Linda grew closer to God as she served wholeheartedly in the adult choir and attended church regularly as she studied the Word of God.

After a courageous battle, Ms. Linda Brinson entered into eternal rest on May 19, 2020 as the Almighty God received her spirit. We are blessed for the life she shared with us.

She is survived by two daughters and one son: Lynn (Travis) Mills of Anchorage, Alaska; William Nelson of Vandenberg Air Force Base, California; and Zaakirah (Maurice) Troupe of Richmond Hill, GA.; seven grandchildren: Jasmine, Jalyn, Aaniyah, Ariyanna, Tiana, A’Mya, and William, Jr.; (birth) father, James Arline of Jacksonville, FL; sisters: Alma (James) Mercer of Jacksonville, FL, Natasha (Eric) Carr of Miami, FL.: God-sisters: Sandra Moore, Samantha (Greg) Herrington, and Cynthia (Kenneth) Wilson  all of Savannah, GA.;  a God-daughter, Ciera Dorsey; a God-son, Daven Richardson; fiancé, Atif Bizzard of Savannah, GA.; two special cousins: Regina Benton and Judy Prince; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
