Ms. Stephanie L. Buckner was born on July 19, 1952 in Savannah, Georgia. She was the eldest of three children.
Stephanie walked in the light of The Lord from a very tender age and was a lifelong member of St. Philip Monumental A.M.E. Church in downtown historic Savannah, Georgia. Through her travels, she fellowshipped with many a congregation. However, St. Philip Monumental A.M.E Church was ever present in her heart, mind and spirit. Upon her retirement from AT&T, she returned to Savannah and continued to be an active member of the Church. At the time of her transitioning, she served as both a Missionary and a Class Leader.
She was educated in the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System and attended Alfred Ely Beach High School. She graduated from A.E. Beach High in 1970 and was an active Class Member. After graduation, she attended Armstong State College.
Stephanie was a dedicated employee of AT&T Communications. She was diligent, hard-working and astute employee of AT&T for 31 years. She retired in 2009 and received numerous awards over her illustrious career.
She was preceded in death by her Grandmother, Mrs. Mary H. Bragg; her Mother, Ms. Emma Davenport; her sister, Mrs. Carolyn Johnson Prewire and her aunt Mattie S. Hilton. She leaves behind to mourn her memory, her two loving children. Son, Mr. Phillip L. Pascal of Savannah, GA and her daughter; Ms. Courtney M. Berksteiner of Savannah, Georgia. She is also survived by her brother; Mr. Leonard Davenport of Nashville, Tennessee along with a host of neices, nephews, cousins and friends.
