Adams announces the passing of Ms. Patricia Ann Gordon, 67, who transitioned on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at her residence.

Adams announces Funeral Services for Ms. Patricia Gordon, 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Solomon Temple COGIC.

Interment: Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery

Ms. Patricia Ann Gordon, was born on May 25, 1950 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ben and Lillie Gordon of Savannah, Georgia.

Patricia grew up in Savannah and was educated in the Savannah-Chatham County Schools. She graduated from Tompkins High School.  Later in life, Patricia continued her education at Savannah Vocational, now known as Savannah Technical College, earning certification as a medical assistant. She was employed at Candler Hospital as a medical records associate for several years and later worked at Aetna for over ten years before retiring due to health challenges.

As the only girl, along with her five brothers, Patricia was fondly referred to as, “Ann”. Affectionately loved by all her nieces, nephews and cousins, Patricia had a way of making each of them feel special. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and tirelessly encouraged them to be successful, outgoing and confident individuals.

Patricia joined Solomon Temple COGIC in Savannah under the leadership of Elder Ezell Ward. She continued her spiritual guidance under the present pastor, her brother, Superintendent Larry J. Gordon until her passing.

Although he proceeded her in death, Patricia remembered and often spoke lovingly of her brother, Benjamin Gordon. 

Because there is rest for the weary and reward for the faithful, Patricia peacefully departed this life around 9:30 am on December 7, 2017 at her home.  She was lovingly surrounded by family who she held dear in her heart.

Patricia Ann Gordon leaves to cherish her life, love and memory her two (2) daughters, Karen M. Gordon, Atlanta, Georgia; and Tiffany N. Welch, Savannah, Georgia; three (3) grandchildren; Courtney, Camren and Casey; four (4) brothers; Jessie (Louise) Gordon, Joseph (Janice) Gordon; Phillip Gordon; and Elder Larry (B. LaRonce) Gordon, all of Savannah Georgia; one (1) sister-in-law; Edna Gordon of Philadelphia, PA. and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

While she will be forever remembered and greatly missed by family and friends, we all say sleep on and rest well our dear, Mother Patricia.
