Adams announces the passing of Ms. Abigail Verdree, 65 who transitioned on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

 

Abigail Verdree was born October 14, 1957 in Savannah, GA to the late Brooks and Virginia Verdree. 

Gail was a born-again believer and loved studying God’s word. She had a special love for children and an exceptional passion for cooking which led her to accept the position with the Savannah Board of Education. She loved helping family and people in the community. She was a babysitter and caretaker to friends & family members.

She was a graduate of the 1975 class of Windsor Forest High School.  Abigail was employed with the Chatham County Board of Education for many years. 

She is survived by her son, Jamaal Verdree, a brother, Ronald Gerrard, both of Savannah, GA, three sisters: Deborah Gerrard Allen (Kenneth, deceased), Alice Walker(David) Savannah, GA and Diane Underwood (Brian) of  Edison, NJ.  and  a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, October 20, 2023 at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Viewing: 4:00- 6:00 PM, Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the Funeral Home.
