Adams announces the passing of Mrs. Willie Mae Collins, 90, who transitioned on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at her Residence.
Willie Mae (Shank) Collins was reclaimed by God, her father, into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at home surrounded by her children after a long illness.
Willie Mae was born on April 29, 1927, in Thomson, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Annie Mae Shank. At an early age, she accepted Christ into her life, joined Springfield Baptist Church and was baptized by the late Rev. J. H. West in Thomson, GA.
Willie Mae met and married Eddie Collins and was blessed with four children. Shortly after moving to Savannah with her family in 1958, she joined St. Paul Baptist Church where she served on several boards and with The Willing Workers.
Her memories shall be cherished by the lives she touched and loved. Surviving are her children, Fannie Collins of Savannah, GA, Janice Collins, of Atlanta, GA, Joanna (James) Williams, and Eddie Collins, both of Savannah, GA; special devoted granddaughters, Nika (Nicolas) Dufour of Atlanta, GA and Kesha (Sam) Collins; daughters, Mozelle Shank of Thomson, GA., and Debbie (Jack) Frazier of Savannah, GA; one sister, Alice Shank of Thomson, GA; four sister-in-laws, Evelyn Shank of Tampa, FL, Geneva Clay, Louise (Johnny) Murray, Wyvonia Collins, Lucille Collins, Willa Jean Collins and Veranette Collins, all of Thomson, GA; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Adams announces the Funeral Services for Mrs. Willie Mae Shank Collins, 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 28, 2018 at St. Paul Baptist Church.
Interment: Shanks Cemetery, Thomson, GA.
