A memorial service to celebrate her life will take place Saturday, December 29, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Adams Funeral Services.
Mrs. Viola Hayward, 72, passed away Sunday, December 23, at her home surrounded by family. Viola, affectionately known as Ola Brown, was born October 7, 1946, in Savannah, GA. She was the daughter of Samuel E. Smith and Helen Brown. She attended the Chatham County Public Schools, including Tompkins High School. A very outgoing person, Viola loved life. She was passionate about cooking and found pleasure working in the hospitality industry until her retirement.
Preceded in death by her son Jonathan Williams, she leaves to cherish her memory one son, Michael Holmes of Atlanta, GA; one daughter, Andrea Williams of Savannah, GA; six grandchildren: Steve Biggins of Savannah, Sharina Scott of Sydney, Australia, TaNeesh Williams (Johnny) of Snellville, GA, Mallorie Holmes of Atlanta, Tori Bishop (Daquan) of Hinesville, GA; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Rines (Lorenzo) and Margaret Mikell of Savannah; three brothers, Eddie Lomonte and Asbury Mikell of Savannah, and Arthur Brown of Amarillo, TX; and a host of other beloved relatives and friends.
