Adams announces the passing of Mrs. Valery Brown Saulsberry “Val”, 65, who transitioned on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at

Memorial Health University Medical Center.

Adams announces funeral services of Mrs. Valery Brown Johnson Saulsberry which will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in The Adams Chapel.

Viewing beginning 8:30 A.M. until the hour of service in our Chapel on Wednesday morning.

Interment: Woodville Cemetery of Garden City, GA.

Valery “Val” Saulsberry, Born Valery Brown transitioned into Heaven August 14, 2019. Valery was born July 4, 1954 to Mr. Frank Alston and Ms. Joyce Brown, in Savannah, Georgia - both preceded her in death. Valery was a native of Savannah. She grew up in Crawford Square and attended Johnson High School. In 1972, Valery married Mr. Ronald Johnson (preceded in death). Mr. and Mrs. Johnson had two children, Ms. Angel Johnson and Mr. Carlton Johnson. In 1987, Valery married Mr. Lindberg Saulsberry (preceded in death). Mr. and Mrs. Saulsberry had two children Ms. Joyce Johnson and Ms. Lynette Saulsberry. Along with her children Mrs. Valery B. Johnson Saulsberry leaves behind three grandchildren, Mr. Alston Johnson, Mr. Ayden Johnson, and Mr. Aydren Johnson. She leaves behind 5 brothers, Henry Mitchell (Frazier), Charlie Mitchell, Jr., David Daniels, Hollis Mitchell, Lamont Mitchell. She also leaves behind five sisters, Thelma Walker (preceded in death), Debra Hamilton, Nancy Randolph, Hope Johnson, and Tammy Dor. Father-in-love, Mr. Nathaniel “Nat” Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Valery served as an inspiration to many and will be truly missed. We will feel the effects of her love, comfort, and prayers for generations to come.
