Mrs. Rita Ann Wilson-Keaton

Adams announces the passing of Mrs. Rita Ann Wilson-Keaton, 75, who transitioned on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at her residence surrounded by family.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 13, 2020 at Melwood Cemetery located 5170 East Ponce De Leon Ave. Stone Mountain, GA 30038.

Rita (Wilson) Keaton, age 75, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020 in the comfort of her home in Savannah, Georgia. She was born March 17, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio to Louis and Virginia (Taylor) Wilson. She was a 1964 graduate of Central High School in Columbus, OH, and went on to continue her education at Ohio State School of Cosmetology. After graduation she went on to establish her own beauty salon, which eventually led her to work as a platform artist for New Era Hair Care Products and was later recruited to manage the Research and Development Salon at Carson Products. Rita truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; working in her home and traveling; and she had an uncanny ability to put people at ease. She is survived by her daughter, Karyn (Keaton) Bailey; two brothers, Larry Wilson of Columbus, OH, and Michael Wilson of Atlanta, GA; an uncle, William “Bill” Taylor of Columbus, OH; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
