Margaret Hurst Jackson was born to the late Ruby Hurst, on May 28th, 1942 in Clyo, Georgia. She was married to James N. Jackson who has already gone on to glory. Margaret and James had 6 amazing children: James (Leola) Jackson; deceased, Robert (Sallie Ann) Jackson; deceased, Vanessa Stewart, Bryant Jackson; deceased, Annette (Tharon) Pryor, Bruce (Kim) Jackson. She also left behind 22 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Margaret leaves behind a brother Darnell McKelton and sister in-laws Ruthie (Marion) Hutchinson Betty Jackson, Barbara (Ronald) Whitfield, Catherine Washington and Jackie Shell.
Margaret was a daughter, mother, friend, and hard worker. She worked at May’s department store for many years. In 1990 she decided to relocate to Savannah, GA and worked on a new career as a nurse. After working as a nurse for several years, she opened her on first home business where she worked until her retirement. Later, in life she found love with the late Ivory Roberson. Margaret was a faithful member of St. Luke missionary Baptist church, and served on the nurses’ gill.
