Adams announces the passing of Mrs. Lena Jeanette Hall Green, 80, who transitioned Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
A service to celebrate her life will take place 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Temple of Glory Community Church.
Visitation: 5-7 P.M., Friday at St. Mary's Baptist Church.
Interment: Greenwich Cemetery.
Mrs. Lena Jeanette Hall Green, 80, passed away surrounded by family at her home Wednesday, January 16. Born in Daisy, GA, she attended Evans County Training School and Tompkins High School, then married the love of her life, William Green. An honor graduate of Richard Arnold Adult School, Lena was an ardent homemaker who deferred working elsewhere until the last of her six children entered school. In 1969, she joined the Memorial Health team, where she rendered 30 years of service.
Cherishing her legacy are her husband of 63 years, Deacon William Green, Sr.; children: Dr. Janice (The Honorable James) Bass, Jr., Angela Lewis, Patricia (The Rev. Bonnie L.) Sharpe, Betty Green, William Green, Jr., Craig (Murtstine) Green; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Sarah Bouyer; aunt, Mary Frances Roberts; and a host of other beloved relatives and friends.
