Obituary
2 Timothy 4:7-8 King James Version (KJV)
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
God in his infinite wisdom, grace and mercy, gently closed the eyes of Joann Wade Crosson on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at the age of 57 after a brave fight with cancer.
Joann was born February 4, 1961 to Mr. Grady Knight and the late Bernice Wade. She was a native of Savannah, Georgia. Joann attended Litway Baptist church in Thunderbolt, Georgia where she served for several years.
Joann is a product of the Chatham County Public School System where she attended Savannah High School, but was blessed with her first child, Joseph (Jojo), shortly before graduation. This blessed event did not detour Joann from pursuing a Certified Nursing Assistant Certification. Joann was employed at several nursing facilities including the Savannah Specialty Care Center, Tara Nursing Home and Heritage now currently known as Pruitt Nursing Facility.
Joann was an avid reader and loved word find puzzles. When asked “What do you want everyone to remember about you”? Joann replied, “I want people to know that I tried my best to be a good person and treated everyone with kindness”. Joann will forever be known as a kind and fair person.
Joann Crosson was preceded in death by her mother Bernice Wade and Her Brother Jesse Wade. Joann leaves to cherish her memories her sons Joseph Wade and Keenan Wade of Savannah, her siblings Charles Wade, Inez Gregory (Elijah) and Johnny Wade (La Saundra), a very special friend, Torica Mobley and her baby girl, Sharee Nicole Mobley who gave Joann such joy.
