PROFILE OF LIFE
Jimmie Bell-Williams was born February 14, 1936 to the late Alexander Hamilton, Bell, Sr. and Alberta (Sunshine) Hicks Bell. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Alexander Hamilton Bell, Jr., Robert Ulysses Bell, Joseph Alfred Bell, Sr.

She became a member of the United House of Prayer as a child under the leadership of Bishop C. M. Grace and became a Grace flower girl and Grace Maid. As an adult, she later joined Georgia Roses of Savannah and the Grace Jubilars.

Jimmie was educated in the Chatham County Public School System, where she attended Florence Elementary, Cuyler-Beach Junior High and Alfred Ely Beach High (Class of 1954).

She went on to attend Memorial Medical School of nursing in 1971 where she earned a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse and was employed by Memorial Medical Center until she retired.

She leaves to cherish her memories: 4 children Clarence (Karen) Bell, Sr. of Columbia, Maryland; Sharon (Kenneth) Chisholm of Toledo, Ohio; Sylvia (Joe) Palmer of Savannah, GA; Robert (Yvette) Williams of Seattle, Washington; Betty Brown (honorary daughter) of Savannah, GA; 11 grandchildren: Antonio, Sr., Clarence (Nancy), Jr., Leon (April), III, Dominique, Christopher, Kiara, Rakeem, Malik, JoKaria, Marquez, De'ja; 3 great-grandchildren Antonio, Jr., Lavell, Amari; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
