Mrs. Ida Wright

Adams announces the passing of Mrs. Ida Wright, 93, who transitioned on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Candler Hospital.

Mrs. Ida B. Wright, a retired Chatham County teacher, was a native of Savannah, Georgia.  She attended Savannah Chatham County Public Schools, graduating from Cuyler Beach High, Savannah State University, and New York University with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education.  She was preceded in death by her parents John and Martha Collins Anderson, sisters I.V. Jones, Johnnie Mae Anderson, and her husband of sixty years Frederick Douglass Wright.  Aunt Ida’s survivors include her daughter Ida Frederica (Paul) Sidney, grandson, Paul Frederick Sidney, nephews, David (Mary Ann) Jones, Matthew (Winfred) Jones, five grand nieces, two grand nephews, two great-grand nieces, four great-grand nephews and one great-great-grand niece.

Adams announces graveside service for Mrs. Ida Wright which will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 14, 2020.

Viewing will be held 2 P.M. - 4 P.M., Wednesday at the funeral home.
