Mrs. Eleanor Pierce

Adams announces the passing of Mrs. Eleanor Smith Pierce, 85, who transitioned on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at her Residence.

Eleanor Smith Pierce, 85, passed away at home surrounded by her family on March 7, 2018. She was the wife of Robert Franklin Pierce (deceased). They were married at Blessed Sacrament Church on May 14, 1955.

She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Church in Thunderbolt, GA.

Eleanor graduated from St. Vincent’s Academy and studied nursing at St. Joseph’s in Savannah, GA.

She is survived by three daughters; Theresa Marie Oram (David), Ann Elizabeth Desprez, Kathleen Mary Hadley and two sons Robert Beville Pierce and John Franklin Pierce. Sister; Marian Smith Proper (Leon), Sisters-in-law; Catherine Cooley Smith and Edra Zipperer Pierce.
She is survived by her grandchildren; Caitlyn Drane (Bradley), Erik Oram, Robert Hughes (Patty), Kristan Smith (Evan), Brian Carellas, Alexander Carellas (Svetlana), Bridgett Vickery (Joshua), Shelbie Pierce, Bailey Pierce, Zoie Pierce, Rhiannon Pierce, Riley Pierce, Regan Pierce, Rachel Mole (Jordy), eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Roxanne Pierce, Vivian Whitten, Kathleen Saunders, Mary Ann Eason, Delores Cox and Claudia Maher for all their love, affection, and care given to our Dear Nanny.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Nativity of Our Lord Church in Thunderbolt, GA. Burial will be at Greenwich Cemetery following the service.
