Mrs. Betty Roberts

Adams announces the passing of Mrs. Betty Jean Roberts, 75, who transitioned on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Betty Jean Roberts was born February 27, 1946, in Savannah, GA, to the late Leroy and Rosa Lee Giles.

Betty received her academic education in Chatham county. She was one of the original Tompkins High School Wolverines. She worked at Union Camp, now known as International Paper, for over 25 years.

Betty joined Litway Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Leonard Small. She participated on the usher board, church photography, and food ministry during that time.

After graduation from high school, she met her love, the late Jacob Roberts. They were married for over 35 years. From this union, they had two children, Felicia and Gabrielle. On Sunday, January 16, at 7:05 am, Betty transitioned from earth to rest.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her daughters Gabrielle Lawrence, Felicia Waters, Joyce (Troy) Freeman, and one son David ( Tramain) Jones. 5 grandchildren DeEtte, Anthony II (Dawn), Victoria, Sean, and Darren.

Ten great-grandchildren, 1 Goddaughter ( Michelle Jolly), and a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends

Private service will be held.
