Mrs. Thelma S. Green

Adams announces the passing of Mrs. Thelma S. Green ,98 who transitioned on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Signature Health.  

Mrs. Thelma S. Green was born on January 1, 1925 to the late
Hannah Wing, in Hilton Head Island, SC. She was raised by the late Neal and
Rosa Singleton.
 
Thelma attended St Mary’s Catholic in Savannah, GA. She married Thomas
Green and out of this union she had one son, Willie Thomas Green. Thelma was a
domestic worker for 30 years.
 
Thelma was a faithful member of Central Missionary Baptist Church, until her
health started to failed. She loved visitors and was always ready to sing and try to
do the “Huckabuck”. One of her favorite songs was “Milky White Road”.
 
She is predeceased by her parents Hannah Wing, Neal and Rosa Singleton, her
husband Thomas Green, her son Willie T. Green, her sister Margaret Wing,
brothers James Wing and Melvin Singleton.
 
Thelma leaves to cherish her memory two grandsons, Willie T. Green, Jr. and
Christopher (Cassandra) Green; three sisters Julia Johnson, St. Helena Island,
SC, Beulah Oliver, Bronx, NY, Florence Wing, Bronx, NY; two brothers Amos Wing,
St. Helena Island, SC and Alex Wing, Brownsville, NJ; one sister in law, Celia
Singleton; a special niece Jackie Johnson , a devoted cousin Geneva Golden; two
great grands, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins , other family and friends.

Adams announces funeral services which will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 15, 2023 in The Adams Chapel.

Viewing: 4 PM - 6 PM, Monday, August 14, 2023 at the funeral home.

Interment: Greenwich Cemetery.
