Adams announces the passing of Mrs. Mutee N. Nesbitt, 80 who transitioned on Monday, April 24, 2023 at residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 6, 2023 in The Adams Chapel.
Viewing will be held from 4 PM - 6 PM, Friday, May 5, 2023 at the funeral home.
OBITUARY
Mutee Nesbit was born to the late Willie & Flora Lawrence on March 14, 1943 in Durham, NC. She peacefully earned her wings on Monday, April 24, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her loving & nurturing family.
Mutee Nesbitt traveled and lived many places in her lifetime but settled in Savannah, Ga. For the last 40+ years. Christ was her savior. She was an active member of Fair Deliverance Holiness Church until her health prevented her from attending. She was an entrepreneur with a host of businesses; Silver Hair Transportation, a limousine service, a mechanic shop, a daycare, a restaurant and Elegance Boutique, just to name a few. She loved to get dressed up, put on her lipstick, keep up with her manicures and pedicures, sing and spend time with family.
Mutee Nesbit was #7 of 9 children. She leaves to cherish her loving husband; Matthew Nesbitt;3 sisters; Ruthmae Floyd of Fuquay, NC, Eva Whiting, & Clemetine(Neddie) Smith of Baltimore, MD and 1 brother, Alonzo Lawrence of Savannah, Ga. Eight children; Sandra (Arthur)Johnson of Port Wentworth, Ga., Benjamin(Lilian) Foster of Savannah, Ga, Kathleen Foster of Johns Island, SC, Elijah(Jannette) Rasheed of Savannah, Ga., Tynnetta Rasheed of Lithonia, Ga., Alethia Rasheed of Colchester, Ct., & Bryan Kees of Savannah, Ga.; 3 Stepdaughters; Shelia Louise(Isaac) Bridgett, Johann(Vincent) Wright & Kathy Nesbitt, all of Savannah, Ga. Mutee was preceded in death by 2 Sisters; Annibelle & Lizzie Lee Lawrence of Los Angeles, Ca., 2 brothers; Willie Lawrence, Jr. & Richard Ervin Lawrence of Savannah,Ga. and a beloved daughter, Lynda Foster, of Norwich, CT. A host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, cousins and close friends. Although Mutee gave birth to 8 children, she was a mother to many.
