Mrs. Melisa Odums, 92, had her transition on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.


Funeral service for Mrs. Melisa Odums will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 9, 2015 at St. Philip Monumental A.M.E. Church, Rev. Greg Moore, Sr., Pastor.


Interment: Woodville Cemetery.

Mother Gertrude C Mitchell, 101,
Went from labor to reward on May 5, 2015 at her residence under the care of Hospice.
She was preceded in death by her husband and children.
She was a member of Second African Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess. She was a member of the Chatham County Deacon and Deaconess Association where she served as treasure.
She is survived by her great grands she raised Gertrude Latrell Battle (Marlon) Gibbs, Orange Park, FL
Cherico Battle and Delracio Battle both of Savannah.
Her sister Corene Watson of Augusta, Ga, her granddaughter Julie (Michael) Smalls(Primary care giver), a host of grands, great grands and great great grands, nieces, nephews and friends.


Funeral services 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 9, 2015 from Second African Baptist Church. Public viewing 12:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M . Visitation: Friday, May 6, 2015 6:00 P.M.-7:00P.M .in the Adams Funeral Services Chapel.
