Mrs. Mary Reynolds, 71, had her transition on Monday, January 18, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M., Monday, January 25, 2016 in The Adams Chapel.

Interment: Private.



OBITUARY:
Mary E. Reynolds was born in Savannah, Georgia on December 3, 1944 to the late Dorothy Goolsby; She was the youngest child and only daughter of Dorothy Goolsby. Mary passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016, at approximately1:43 PM.

Mary was born in Savannah, GA, where she spent the first nine years of her life. After the death of her mother, her sole guardian, she was relocated to the Bronx, New York to live with her mother's sister, Rosa Johnson.

Mary would later return to Savannah, where she graduated from Sol C. Johnson High School. Here, she also met her husband, the late Nathaniel ""Pookie"" Reynolds (April 4, 1939 - August 1, 1999). Mary and Nathaniel's first two children, Michael and Loverne, were born in Savannah, GA. Their youngest child, Trenee, was born in the Bronx, New York where the family relocated prior to the birth of Trenee.

Mary had a career as a legal secretary in Midtown Manhattan with W.R. Grace and Company, where she worked for over twenty-five years before retiring.

She enjoyed spending time with family, dancing, traveling, and going to the casinos.

Although she resided in New York for the majority of her life, she would later relocate to her hometown of Savannah, GA, where she spent the final years of her life.

Mary is survived by her three children: Michael of Albany, New York, Loverne and Trenee (Lamar Harris - Son in Law) all of Savannah, GA. In addition she is survived by to her two grandchildren, Casuan of Atlanta, GA, and Lamar the third of Savannah, GA. She is also survived by: Aunt Rosa's daughters, Zipporah and Keturah of Bronx, New York, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, her Godson, Jayvon Alexander of Covington, GA, and friends.
