Mrs. Marjorie Irvin Bolton, 56, , had her transition Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at University Medical Center of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
A native of Philadelphia, PA, she attended the public schools of Philadelphia, PA.
In 1985 Mrs. Bolton moved to Savannah, GA where she attended and graduated from Savannah Technical College with a Associate Degree in Business Administration. She was attending University of Phoenix, studying to receive her Bashelor's Degree before she became ill.
Mrs. Bolton was employed with the Chatham County Board of Education at Gadsden Elementary School in Savannah, GA.
Survivors: a loving and devoted husband, Willie Bolton, Jr., two sons: Martin S. Irvin and Eugene Irvin; mother, Mrs. Sarah Irvin of Philadelphia, PA; three brothers: Robert Irvin, Charles Irvin and Stanford Irvin, all of Philadelphia, PA; five sisters: Linda Postell, Marlene Harris and her husband, Willie R. Harris, Mozella Irvin, Rev. Cheryl Cooper and her husband, Dr. James Cooper and Shelia Irvin, all of Philadelphia, PA; a host other relatives and friends.
Funeral seervice: 11:00am Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Overcoming by faith Ministries, 9700 Middleground Road, Savannah, GA, Rev. Ricky Temple, Pastor/Elder Walker, Eulogist. Public viewing: Monday, May 25, 2009 from 12:00 noon - 5:00pm at Adams Funeral Services, Inc., 510 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, GA. ""Margie"" will lie in state at the church from 10:00am until hour of service. Interment: Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Hunter Army Air Force Base, Savannah, GA.
