Adams announces the passing of Mrs. Lillie C. Williams, 90 who transitioned on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 29, 2023 in The Adams Chapel.
OBITUARY
Lillie C. Williams 90, of Savannah, GA, entered into God's Kingdom on March 19, 2023. She was born on January 28,1933 in Sandersville, GA to John Chandler and Malar Bell Chandler. Lillie was an avid reader. She loved traveling, crocheting blankets for the family and playing games on her cell phone. Lillie looked forward to Sunday School on Facebook every Sunday at Second St. John Baptist Church. She would get dressed up as if she were going to church.
Upon graduating from Beach High School in Savannah, GA, Lillie attended beauty culture (cosmetology) school. She then went to New York City and gained employment as a nursing assistant at Bellevue Hospital and later became a Supervisor at H&R Block Tax Preparer in Philadelphia, PA where she met and married James E. Williams who preceded her in death.
Lillie and James retired to South Carolina and Lillie came back to live in Savannah, GA where she leaves behind her children: Wanda Bryant (Greg), Denise Williams, Mark Williams (Bernadette), Judy Lang (Donald) and Monique Williams. Grandchildren: Keisha Williams, Monica Davis, Angela Suragh (Kirk), Kyndall Williams and Daria Garrett.
Great-grandchildren: Ciera Suragh, Jaylen Davis, Nia Suragh and Kirk Suragh Jr. Her sister Mary D. Phillips, brother-in-law Wesley Phillips, sister-in-law Vivian Hair, brother-in-law James Hair. Her close friends Murtis Light and Gloria Williams, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
