Mrs. Kim Elaine Rivers- Chaney

Mrs. Kim Elaine Rivers-Chaney was born February 15, 1960 in Savannah, GA to the late Mr. Theodore Rivers and Janie L. Smith, and transitioned on March 7, 2016. Kim attended St. Benedict School, Cathedral Day School, and graduated from St. Vincent's Academy in 1979. Kim was preceded in death by her sister, Gail Clarke Johnson. Kim is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Lt. Racine Chaney; their children, Tywanna (John) Chaney-Willis, Arlando Chaney, Ashlee Chaney, and Brandi Chaney; grandchildren, NyTaisha Willis, Arlando Chaney, Jr., Jayda Chaney and Gabriel Valmont; brothers, Michael (Jeanie) Rivers, Kenneth (Saundra) Clark and Hallie Williams; cherished aunts, Bernice Rivers and Gertrude Williams; loving cousin, Trudye Williams; goddaughter Shamonica Badie; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11AM at Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church, 112 Fell Street, Savannah, Georgia, 31415.

Interment: Catholic Cemetery.
