Mrs. Kathleen Williams Jones, 60, had her transition on Sunday, March 17, 2013.

Funeral Service for Mrs. Kathleen Jones will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 23, 2013 at St. Philip A.M.E. Church; Reverend Scottie Swinney,Officiating/Presiding Pastor. Rev Brenda Brown, Eulogist.

Public viewing Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Visitation with the family Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

Mrs. Jones will lie in serenity at the church beginning 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

Interment: Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.


OBIT:

Mrs. Kathleen Williams Jones was born April 1, 1952 in Savannah, Georgia to Ms. Betty Mae Griffin and the late Joseph ""Scrappy"" Williams. Kathleen was educated at an early age in Savannah, Georgia. She was a proud graduate of Richard Arnold High School on August 10th, 1970, where she excelled in her studies and was a superlative student. Kathleen attended South University and received her Associate in Nursing Assistant on Feb 20th, 1987. Kathleen attended New Life Christian Church in Goose Creek, SC where she actively volunteered in the church ministry on a daily basis. Kathleen's greatest joy was help raising her two granddaughters, Baleigh and Brielle while her daughter Bridget served in the US Coast Guard. On Saturday March 16, 2013 Kathleen began her transition and was escorted to the gates of heaven by her sister Paula R. Snooks and on Sunday March 17, 2013 she entered into eternal rest. She leaves to cherish her precious memories; a loving mother Betty Mae Griffin Williams of Savannah, GA; one daughter, Bridget U. Williams of Fort Belvoir, VA. One brother Charles Alvin Westbrook of Augusta, GA and one sister, Paula R. Snooks of Riverdale, GA. Two beautiful granddaughters, Baleigh S. Williams and Brielle S. Williams of Fort Belvoir, VA and a host of nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
