Mrs. Ethel Lee Green Mumford

Adams announces the passing of Mrs. Ethel Lee Green Mumford, 95 who died on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 6, 2023 in The Adams Chapel.

Interment: Magnolia Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The loving and dear, Mrs. Ethel Lee Green-Mumford was born November 16, 1927, to
the late Robert and Ethel Bell Alston-Green in Savannah, Georgia.

Ethel was raised and received her education in Savannah, Georgia. Ethel was an
educator by nature, attended Chatham County Schools and Savannah State College.
Ethel loved to read which led her to dedicating her life to Jehovah at an early age, was baptized and served faithfully, educating others about the promises of Jehovah, and sharing the rich messages of hope in scripture and many Kingdom Truths. Serving Jehovah was the joy of her life next to her love of “Family”.

Ethel made her transition on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the age of 95, surrounded by four generations of loved ones.

Ethel was preceded in death by her late husband Daniel Mumford, Jr., parents and eight siblings.

Her memory will be cherished by her children, Ms. Carolyn M. Mumford, Mr. Alfonso Mumford, Sr. both of Savannah, GA.; and her bonus son Mr. James Harvey, Sr. (Jane) of Atlanta, GA. Fifteen grandchildren; Sixteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; one Brother, Richard Green of Trenton, NJ; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
