Mrs. Catherine James McGert - Davis

Mrs. Catherine McGert, 81 had her transition on Friday, January 13, 2017 at her residence in Daleville, Alabama surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services for Mrs. Catherine James McGert-Davis will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 21, 2017 in The Adams Chapel.

Interment: Oak Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Catherine James McGert-Davis was born on December 28, 1935 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Mr. & Mrs. Frank and Ella James. Catherine was the youngest of five girls: Gladys Morrison, Cora James, Dorothy Herb, and Margie Johnson.
She spent most of her early years and adult life in Savannah Georgia until she fell ill, then she went on to live with her daughter and son in law in Daleville, Alabama. 
Catherine McGert passed away on January 13, 2017 in the home surrounded by her loving family members.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: a son, Kelvin Davis of Columbia South Carolina; a daughter, Patricia (Lee) Belin, Daleville, Al; seven grandchildren, Martel Pringle, Daleville, Al; Bryon (Faye) Belin, Daleville, Al; Monet Belin, Enterprise, Al; Toraya Belin, Daleville, Al; Angela Davis, Kelvin Davis Jr. (DeeDee), Columbia, South Carolina; LaShinda Watson, Columbia, South Carolina, ten great grandchildren, three great nieces, Shirely Befante, Savannah, Ga, Eleanor Morrison, Fayetteville, North Carolina, Donna Jackson (Sequan), Fayetteville, North Carolina, Monique Evans, Savannah, Georgia, Brandy Smalls, Savannah, Georgia, Diamond Evans, Savannah, Georgia, two nephews, Lamont Morrison, Savannah, Georgia, and John "Timmy" Curry, Savannah, Georgia, a host of cousins and many special friends.
