Mrs. Annie Fryer Briggs, 92, had her transition on Friday, May 23, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral service for Mrs. Annie Fryer Briggs will be held 10:00AM, May 30, 2014 at Greater Owens Temple located 4011 Rockdale St. Savannah, GA 31405, Apostle W. B. Jefferson, Pastor; Pastor Ray Singleton, Eulogist.
Interment: Fryer Cemetery @ Palmer Grove Baptist Church 3261 Old Waynesboro Rd., Hephzibah, GA 30815.
Public viewing: Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Adams.
OBITUARY:
Mother Annie Briggs was a dedicated & devoted member at the First Ebenezer Baptist Church, 510 East 31st Street with the Reverend Ray Singleton, Pastor. She has been a member for over sixty-nine years, She was active on the Mother's Board, Deaconess Board, and the Shepard's Care Committee.
Mother Annie is preceded in death by her loving husband (Deacon Booker T. Briggs) of forty seven years. Their marriage was covenant, characterized by exclusive, continuing and growing commitment; two sons, Booker T. Briggs, Jr. and John Edward Briggs.
The memories of Mother Briggs' life is cherished by her devoted son, Mr. Herbert Fryer (Mamie Jo) of Augusta, GA; two loving daughters, Dr. Delores Briggs-Cummings (Charles H. Jr.) and Mrs. Debra Briggs-Coleman (Allen); two loving and devoted sisters, Ms. Cleo Fryer of Miami, Florida and Mrs. Thelma Turner of Savannah, GA. Over twenty grand's with five special and dedicated grand's, Ms. Renee Briggs, Mr. Marty Turner, Mr. Devin Briggs, Mr. Derrick Briggs of Atlanta, GA and A'nyla Robinson, loving in-laws Mr. & Mrs. John Kelley, Sr. of Augusta, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, God Children, Reverend Henrietta B. Lovett and Mrs. Betty Wright Forrester and countless extended friends.
