Anna Stephens Garvin, a devoted matriarch known for loving her God, family, and friends passed away March 18, 2025 in Pearland, TX. Anna was born on July 31, 1927 in Savannah, GA to Johnnie and Rosetta Adams Barnes.
She leaves in God’s care her beloved daughter and son, Paulette Stephens (Willie) and Vincent Garvin (Yvette); and daughters-in-law Jacquelyn Stephens and Joyce Gail Stephens, five granddaughters, three grandsons, twelve great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, stepsons, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and her many cherished friends and acquaintances. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, two sons, a sister, two brothers, an uncle, three grandsons, and a nephew.
As work on earth comes to a close, peace will be complete. Surrounded by the beauty of eternity’s retreat.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that donations/memorial contributions may be directed toward Butler Presbyterian Church, 603 West Victory Drive in Savannah or to the charity of one’s choice.
