Adams announces the passing of Mr. Robert A. Hopps, 71, who transitioned on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at his residence.

Adams announces funeral services of Mr. Robert Alvin Hopps which will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 11, 2020.

Viewing will be held from 9:30 A.M. - 10:30 A.M., Wednesday at the funeral home.

Robert Alvin Hopps was born December 3, 1948 in Screven, Georgia to the late Edward and Bobbie Hopps. He departed this life on Sunday, November 8, 2020.

Robert received his early education from Wayne County Training School, Jesup, Georgia. He attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. After being drafted in the Army for two years as a MP (Military Policeman), he received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Fort Valley State College (now The Fort Valley State University).

Robert was employed at Georgia Pacific for 21 years as a computer operator. He enjoyed his retirement by traveling and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty-nine years Naomi “Naami” Williams-Hopps; two devoted children - son Corey Hopps (Yolunda) and daughter - Lindsey Hopps-Anderson (Mario); three sisters- Patricia Hopps, Brenda Hopps-Ballard (Herb), Vicky Hopps-Mitchell (Alexander); one brother - Ronald Hopps (Vicki); grandchildren - Devin and Nyla-Rose Hopps, Reagan and Macyn Anderson, whom he adored to the utmost; one uncle - Robert Alvin Hopps; in-laws - Betty Williams-Wilson (Frank), Minnie Williams-Lewis, Marian Williams-Smith, Samuel Williams (Juanita), Wesley Williams (Julia) and a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
