Adams announces the passing of Mr. Ralph Lavon Youins, 66, who passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 1, 2018 in The Adams Chapel with Military Honors.

Ralph Lavon Youins, 66, of New Haven, Connecticut, residing in Richmond Hill, GA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA.
Ralph was born in New Haven, Connecticut to Tommie Youins Sr. and Julia Suggs.
Ralph honorably served in the US Army for 20 years before retiring at the rank of Sergeant First Class. His awards include: National Defense Service Medal, Expert Field Medical Badge, Army Commendation Medal with 2 Oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea), Good Conduct Medal (6th award), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (3), and Marksman (M-16 Rifle).
Ralph continued to serve for the US Army through federal work as an employee with the Corps. of Engineers. As a Safety and Occupational Health Specialist, his work included projects in Kansas, South Korea, and Georgia.
In his final years with the corps, Ralph accepted a volunteer position in Iraq to oversee projects both on and off US installations.
Ralph Youins is survived by his wife of 37 years, Pok Suk (Choe) Youins, and his three children, daughter Naomi Edwards of New Haven, Connecticut; Natasha Miller and her husband Paul, currently of Seoul, South Korea; and Lavon Youins of Savannah, Georgia. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Shanaya, Mia, Patrick, Justin, and Guiliana of New Haven, Connecticut and Kannon of South Korea. He is also survived by his sister Evelyn Martin and brother Richard Youins of New Haven, Connecticut.
