“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
John 14:1-3

On Tuesday, January 15, 2019, there was a peaceful transition. Surrounded by those who lovingly called him “Nay, Pops, Daddy, Uncle, Nay-Nay and friend”, Nathaniel felt his last pain.
Nay’s love for his family was limitless. Because of this he was often entrusted with the care and nurturing of his nieces, nephews and grandchildren. The memories of a life well-lived will be cherished by six sons; Nathan Holmes, Stockbridge, GA, Anthony Fickling, Augusta, GA,

No Night Without
There is no night without a dawning
No winter without a spring
And beyond the dark horizon
Our hearts will once more sing…
For those who leave us for a while
Have only gone away
Out of a restless, care worn world
Into a brighter day.
