Adams announces the passing of Mr. Jason Lamont Butts, 41, who transitioned on Friday, May 1, 2020 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

Jason “Meat” Butts departed his earthly home Friday, May 1, 2020 at Memorial Hospital. He was born to the late Eleanora Grant and Thurmond McCray on August 28, 1978 in Detroit, Michigan.
Jason was an old soul.  A fun-loving person who never met a stranger.  He always had a smile on his face.  When you did not see Jason sitting on his porch grilling, you could find him at the local store drinking coffee and conversing with any and everyone.
Jason's life will be celebrated by his Grandmother, Mildred Snowden; three sisters, Shanette Steed of Rahway, NJ, Rosilyn and Wanda Butts both of Savannah; three nephews, Dwight Gant and Eric Butts of Savannah, Michael Steed Of Rahway, NJ; two nieces, Jasmine Butts and Kaliyah Mitchell of Savannah; a host of other extended family members, cousins, friends and other loved ones.
Jason is preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandfather, paternal grandparents; one nephew Tyrell Butts; one niece Nicole Steed.
Jason will have a public car viewing on Saturday, May 9, 2020 from 12-2pm.  Car viewing at Adams Funeral Home located at 510 Stephenson Ave, Savannah, GA 3140.    Interment will be private.
