Adams announces the passing of Mr. Henry Wesley, Sr., 82, who transitioned on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at his Residence.
Viewing will be held on Sunday from 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Henry Wesley, Sr.
On February 14, 1938, God blessed the world with the birth of Mr. Henry Wesley, Sr. He was a gift to Mr. & Mrs. Sumpter and Earline (Hagood) Wesley, Sr. Born in Luray, SC, the family later relocated to Savannah, GA. He graduated from Woodville High School and later attended Savannah State University (College) majoring in Science.
Henry was also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Incorporated and the Woodville-Tompkins Athletic Hall of Fame. Henry was an ardent member of Townsley Chapel AME church where he served faithfully as a member of the Sr. Usher Board, Sons of Allen and Male Chorus.
On Thursday, April 09, 2020 God called Henry home to eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his parents Sumpter and Earline Wesley; sister, Bernice Wesley Carter; and brother, James Alton Wesley.
He leaves to mourn his departure his loving wife Mrs. Patricia (Greene) Wesley; Six sons, Henry Wesley, Jr., Haden Earl Wesley, Marlo (Sheletha) Williams, Gregory (Dana) Bryant, Terrell Suggs and James Wesley; four Daughters, Patricia Wesley Walden, Laverne Wesley (Cleve) Harrison, Deyanka Greene, Sharon Greene; five sisters, Lillian Wesley Lee (Howard)- Chapel Hill, NC, Sarah Wesley Jones-Savannah, GA, Jacqueline Wesley Adams-San Jose, CA, Earline Wesley Davis (Robert)-Savannah, GA, and Judy Fields Davis, Savannah, GA: four brothers, Sumpter Wesley Jr., - Savannah, GA, Benjamin Wesley, Sr. (Joan) – Lawrenceville, GA, Leon Wesley (Dorothy)- Newark, DE, and Paul Wesley (Beverly), Decatur, GA. along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
