Adams announces the passing Mr. Ernest Roberts, Jr., 71, who transitioned on Friday, December, 14, 2018 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at First African Baptist Church of East Savannah, 402 Treat Avenue with interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, December 22, 2018 at Adams Funeral Services.

Brother Ernest Robert was born in Savannah, Ga on April 14, 1947 to the late Mr. Ernest Roberts Sr. and Mrs. Carrie Belle Holmes. He was baptized and became a member of bethel AME Church at a young age. In later years he joined First African Baptist Church of East Savannah, where he was a faithful member of the choir and male chorus.
He attended Sol C. Johnson High School and graduated with the class of 1966. After graduation he joined the US Army and served in Vietnam., After his military service, he returned to Savannah and was employed as a bus driver for Savannah Transit Authority, Solomon Drugs Co. and later went to barbering school and became a barber.
He was joined in holy matrimony to Carolyn V Roberts in 1995.
Ernest leaves to cherish his memories his devoted and loving wife Carolyn V. Roberts, two sons, Tyron (Sonya) Roberts of Lithonia, Ga, Dea. Erik K (Lenay) Virgil of Savannah.. One brother Jerome (Shirley) Roberts of Savannah. A special Sister-in-Law Lola Cookieanos. Two Godchildren, Tammy Brown and Andre Cureton, III, two cousins Betty Gore and Deloris Williams. Eight grandchildren, four great grands, a host of nieces and nephews, friends and loved ones.
