Earnest was born October 9, 1945 in Sylvania, GA to Purcell and Freddie Marie Roberts. He moved to Savannah GA in the early 1960’s where he married Rose Mary Brown and had his first child, a daughter, Tess. Earnest later remarried Earline Wilson and shared a baby boy, Earnest Roberts Jr. He was a member of the Soulful Riders Motorcycle Club and worked as a truck driver for many years before retiring. Adopting the nickname of “Catman” in his early years, it was the name used by those who knew him.
Earnest Sr. is survived by his children, Tess Roberts Brice of GA, Jermaine Roberts of NY, Earnest Roberts Jr. of TX, Latasha Mack of TX and spouse Ronald; his Grandchildren, Iman Brice, Jada Roberts, Saniyah Roberts, Meyah and Myah Roberts, Ahmir Roberts, and Adonis Roberts; Siblings, Charletta Roberts Howard, Purcell Roberts and spouse Jennifer, Leona Roberts, Sammie Lee Roberts, Jonnie W Roberts, Watty Roberts, Lavern Roberts, and Freddy Roberts; Adopted brothers, Gary Johnson, Anthony Moony; Adopted sons Dominque and Troy Brown; a host of very special nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother Roger Roberts.
