Adams announces the passing of Mr. Curtis M. Berry, 75, who passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Simmons Funeral Home located 2868 Columbia Rd. Orangeburg, SC 29118. Phone: 803.534-2646 Fax: 803.534.5494

Repast will be held at New Vision Center located 3699 Magnolia St. Orangeburg, SC 29115

Mr. Curtis McLloyd Berry, son of the late Henry and Zena Berry was born on January 22, 1943 in Bowman, SC. Such a loving and giving soul that transitioned on December 28, 2018 at his home in Savannah, GA surrounded by his loving family.

Curtis (McLloyd) was a graduate of Bethune Memorial High School. He was certified in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration. He left the South at the age of 18 to go to New York. He started out as a cab driver and then went on to work in his field of trades: HVAC, Refrigeration and Electrician. He retired November 2018.

At an early age, Curtis (McLloyd) accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and joined Pineville United Methodist Church in Bowman, SC. He was a devoted, affectionate, loving man, father, husband and friend. He was always supportive, attentive and hard working.

Curtis (McLloyd) leaves to cherish his memories to: a devoted sister, Margaret Baylor; a devoted brother, James Berry (Ester). Three children: Jacquelyn McMichael, Michael Berry, Mutassa Bouie (Michael). His grandchildren: Mapessah Glover, Aysha Holmes, Christopher McMichael, Andre Young, Kevin Young Jr, Mishea Berry, Amir Berry, Jannah Berry, Jaleesa Berry. His great-grand children: Mykel Price Jr, Makhi and Carmelo Scott. Three In-Laws: Maebell Berry, Eloise Berry, Lessie Berry. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Curtis (McLloyd) was proceeded in death by his wives, Pamela McMichael-Berry and Nancy Berry; as well as siblings Henry Clay Berry, Julia Murray, Levy Berry, John Berry and Florence Summers.
