Adams announces funeral services of Mr. Carnell Abney which will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, April 11, 2019 in The Adams Chapel.

Entombment: Hillcrest Abbey West.

Viewing: 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M., Thursday prior to the funeral.

Carnell Abney transitioned from this life early on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Candler Hospital with his son at his bedside and other family members close by.

Carnell leaves to cherish his memories: One (1) devoted and loving son, Derik (Bettyna) Abney of Durham, NC; two (2) daughters, Nuraine Campbell of Savannah, GA and Jasmine Abernathy of New York City, NY; ten (10) grandchildren, Tiona Abney, Javon Abney, Jada Abney, Hailey Cuffin, Jorrell Hansley,  Jasmine Abney, Keonna Biggins Nesbitt, Xavier Gadsden Shawn Anthony Campbell and Shawntaye Campbell Nozee ; two (3) brothers, James Calvin (Jackie) Abney, of Savannah, GA and Roland H. Abney of Decatur, GA and Charles “Bunk” Black of Savannah, GA ; three (3) sisters, Grace H. Barnett of Savannah, GA, Sara E, Barnett of New York City, NY and Miriam A. (Algernon) Rodney of Ocoee, FL and a host of great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
