Basil Luther Jones Jr. was born on April 16, 1966, in Kingston, Jamaica. Basil was the first child of Karen Dinnall and Basil Jones. As a baby, he spent two years in Jamaica and then migrated to the United States. Basil grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He went to Samuel J. Tilden High School and completed secondary school with his GED.
He moved with his mother and siblings to West Palm Beach, Florida, in 1989. Later he attended Atlantic Vocational Technical school and completed the Computer Service Technician program. He lived in Florida for 26 years and moved to Port Wentworth, Georgia, in 2016. He enjoyed watching television, reading, collecting comic books, and assembling model planes. He often worked construction with his brother-in-law. He was a peaceful, gentle, loving soul. He leaves behind his mother Karen Blake, father Basil Jones Sr., sister Osalami Omisoore (Nakia Blake), brother Winston Olise Blake, brother-in-law Awokoya Oyewole, two nieces, and one nephew.
