Adams announces the passing of Mr. Spencer Imo Inyang, 45, who transitioned on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Candler Hospital.

Spencer I. Inyang was born November 9, 1978, to Betty R. Bennett and the late James R. Wilborn in Savannah, Georgia. He departed this life on May 20, 2024, at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia surrounded by his family and friends.

Raised in Savannah, Georgia. He graduated from H.V. Jenkins High School Savannah Georgia in 1997. He attended Edward Waters University in Jacksonville, Florida. He began his career at the age of 19 with the Georgia State Prison System, as a correctional Officer, past employments: Georgia Regional Hospital of Savannah as a Forensics Unit Mental Health Tech Leader in Savannah, Georgia, and Transportation Security Administration Agent Leader (TSA) with Savannah/Hilton Head Airport.

Spencer married the love of his life and to this union two children were born. Spencer had many loves to include cars, fishing, kayaking, traveling, and sports.  Spencer never encountered anyone that he could not discuss worldly matters and befriend with love and his God given talent of understanding knowledge.

Spencer was preceded in death by his maternal and paternity grandparents, his father and a nephew Ashaun E. Jackson.

Spencer leaves to cherish his fond memories his wife of ten years, Chanel Inyang, daughter Journey E, Inyang, son Jackson P. Inyang, Mother Betty R. Bennett, all of Savannah, Georgia. Three sisters LaJuana K. Bennett-Ruffin of Savannah, Georgia, Dr. Ann W. Jackson (Aubrey) of Flossmoor, Illinois and Dr. Lachelle Wilborn of Apex, North Carolina. Brother Clifford Wilborn (Kimberly) of Fairfax, Virginia. Sister-In-Law Chamona Donalson of Bainbridge, Georgia. Brother-In-Law Chastain Green (Antoinette) of Atlanta, Georgia.  Two special uncle William Mitchell of Savannah, Georgia and Willie Blige of Macon, Georgia.  Nieces Shayna A. Bailey of Atlanta, Georgia, Brianna R. Ruffin of Orlando, Florida, and Kianna S. Ruffin of Savannah, Georgia, Tykira Adams of Attapulgus, Georgia, Chastanna Green of Jackson, Florida, Kalis Donalson of Bainbridge, Georgia, Sydney Wilborn and Madison Wilborn of Fairfax, Virginia. Jessica Allen and Iyanla Wilborn of Apex, North Carolina, Aesha Jackson of Flossmoor, Illinois and Grandniece Audrey Hollis of Attapulgus, Georgia. Nephews Dylan Donalson of Attapulgus, Georgia and Caleb Green of Bainbridge, Georgia, Aubrey R. Jackson, Flossmoor, Illinois. And host of other family members.
