Mr. Sanford Henderson Jr. was born May 10, 1951 to the late Sanford Henderson Sr. and Bertha Hawkins-Henderson in Tuskegee, Alabama. Sanford accepted Christ at an early age at Pilgrim Baptist Church in Cecil, Alabama. He graduated from George Washington High School in Mt. Meigs, Alabama where he learned the Master of Carpentry and went on to become an Owner of a few businesses. He was successful entrepreneur and influenced many with his knowledge and skills of his craft.
On November 8th Sanford departed this life. He was preceded in death by his father Sanford Henderson Sr, mother Bertha Hawkins-Henderson, his second mother Evelyn James-Henderson, his sisters Clara Henderson, Daisy Bee McCray and brother Samuel Lee Hawkins.

Sanford leaves behind 7 sisters Ella Kelly of Syracuse, NY, Annie(Johnathan) Stephens of Syracuse, NY, Ocieola Cortner of Cecil, Al., Bernice(Willie James) Williams of Smiths Station, Al., Mary Alice Pearson of Hampton, Ga., Jackie Bray of Detroit, MI, Carloyn Allen of Syracuse, NY, 4 brothers George(April) Pearson of Syracuse, NY, Albert(Beautisha) Pearson of Montgomery, Al, Wendell(Brenda) Henderson of Jonesboro, Ga., Alvin(Karen) Henderson of Syracuse, NY. Sanford leaves behind a legacy with 30 Grandchildren and 26 Great-Grandchildren, along with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
