Adams announces the passing Mr. Romel Williams, Sr., 55, who transitioned on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Memorial Hospital.

Viewing will be held from 4 PM to 6 PM Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday, February 9, 2024 in the Adams Chapel.

OBITUARY:

Romel Jerome Williams Sr. was born on July 31, 1968, in Cleveland, Ohio to John Walker Williams II and Ruby Talley White. Romel passed away on January 31, 2024, at 55 years old. Romel grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Rhodes Senior High School in 1986. He had an unwavering passion for art and drawing. In 1988, Romel moved to Savannah, GA where he began his career and life. Throughout his life, Romel worked in various positions in construction, home remodeling, and became a certified butcher in his later years. He was known for his infectious laughter, love, and ability to make everyone smile.

 Romel was preceded in death by his father, John Walker Williams II, maternal grandparents Elijah and Ruth Harris, paternal grandparents John Williams Sr. and Lela Williams, stepfather Clarence White, one grandchild, and one great-grandchild.

 Romel is survived by his loving mother Ruby White, brother John W. Williams III, John Williams IV, and Telly Williams, sisters Danyiel Thompson, Maricia Holmes, and Sasha Patterson (sister/cousin), brothers-in-law Samuel Thompson and Ralph Holmes, sister-in-law Andrea Luckey, God brother Derrick Johnson, 6 children; 3 sons; Romel J. Williams Jr., Jevon Williams, and Patrick Williams, 3 daughters; Anastacia Colbert, Amelia Washington, and Ambral Washington, 17 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. He also leaves behind a host of cousins who were like brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, and other family members.

 Romel's legacy will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him.
