Adams announces the passing of Mr. Raymond Clairmonte Gill, 83, who transitioned on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at his Residence surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 11, 2023 in The Adams Chapel.

Viewing will be held from 4 PM - 6 PM, Friday, February 10, 2023 at the funeral home.

Interment: Greenwich Cemetery.

Today we celebrate the life of our loved one Raymond Clairmonte Gill who was born on February 1, 1940 in the parish of St. Michaels Barbados to the late Mabel Gill and Lindley Kirton.  He entered peaceful into eternal rest on Thursday, February 2, 2023 in his home with his loving and devoted wife Barbara A. Gill and his loving daughters Deborah Gill and Denize Gill as he wished by his side.

 
He graduated from St. Leonard's Boys' Secondary School in the parish of St. Michael's Barbados and went on and attended the Southeast London College United Kingdom.  From there he relocated to Savannah, GA and furthered his education while attending Savannah Technical College gaining his certification in Electrical Insulation.  
 
He began his career as a Bus Conductor for the London Transportation Bus Company and from there he worked for the British Rail System where he was an Electrical Technician.  After relocating to the US he became employed with Armstrong State University located in Savannah, GA where he retired from in 2016.
 
He leaves to cherish in his memories his loving and devoted wife who stood by his side to the end Mrs.
Barbara A. Gill ('Barbs'), two faithful loving daughters, Ms. Deborah Gill of Savannah, GA; Ms. Denize Gill of West Wickham, Kent and one step daughter Ms. Shontell Ford (Lewis) of Little Rock, Arkansas; A very loving and devoted brother Mr. Owen Leroy Gill of Savannah, GA;  five grandchildren Daniel Jackson (deceased) and Danny Jackson (Brittany) of Little Rock Arkansas , Danielle Jackson and Alexis Ford of Dallas, Texas and Lewis Ford, III of Houston, Texas; and three great grandchildren Aiden Wright, Dancel Brown and Daniel Jackson, Jr of Little Rock, Arkansas.  A special honorary mention for Mr. Grantley Cummins of New York and a Sister-in-law Ms. Mary Gill of The Parish of St. Michael's Barbados and a host of other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
