Adams announces the passing of Omar Abuwi, 86, who transitioned on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Savannah Square.

The Islamic funeral prayer (janazah) for Omar Abuwi will be held at his local mosque (Masjid Jihad) located at 117 East 34th Street Savannah, GA 31401) immediately following the midday congregational prayer (Salat al-Thur) on Thursday, November 14, at 12:15 PM.

The procession will immediately follow the prayer to the burial site where Omar will be interred at 1:00: Greenwich Cemetery (330 Greenwich Road, Savannah, GA 31404)

Friends, Neighbors, and family are invited to gather at Masjid Jihad after the burial for food and community.
