Mr. Joseph Johnson, 76, transitioned on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Southern Regional Hospital in Riverdale, Georgia surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Johnson will be 12’ Noon Saturday, July 30, 2016 at St. Philip A.M.E. Church 613 Martin L. King Dr., Rev. Scottie Swinney, Pastor.

Public Viewing: 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Visitation: 6-7PM in the Chapel. Interment: Hillcrest Abbey East.

OBITUARY:

SAVANNAH - Mr. Joseph Johnson, 76, of Savannah, GA, made his transition on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Southern Regional Hospital in Riverdale, GA. He leaves to mourn his devoted wife of 48 years, Mattie B. Walker Johnson; devoted and loving daughter, Sherri Johnson Neal ( DeAngelo) of Riverdale, GA; daughter, Sharon Allen (Earl) of Savannah, GA; two grandsons and two great grand children, all of Savannah, GA; brother Leroy Johnson; sister, Eliza Johnson, all of Savannah, GA; Brothers-in-law, Sisters- in-law, Nephews, Nieces and a host of cousins and friends. The family visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Services, 510 Stephenson Ave., Savannah, GA on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 6-7pm. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 30, 2016, 12;00 noon at St. Philip A.M.E. Church, 613 MLk Blvd., Savannah, GA. Reverend Scottie Swinney, Senior Pastor, will officiate and the Reverend Gregory V. Eason, Senior pastor, Flipper A.M.E. Church and former Senior Pastor at St. Philip, will deliver the eulogy. Interment at Hillcrest Abbey East. in Lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made payable in Joseph's Memory to The Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation.
