Mr. Johnny Alston, Sr., 80, had his transition on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Ropper Hospital in Charleston, S.C. surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral Services for Johnny Alston, Sr. will be 4:00 P.M., Saturday, December 27, 2014 at St. Paul C.M.E. Church, Reverend Da'Henri Thurmond, Pastor.


Mr. Alston will rest in serenity at the church from 2:30 P.M. until the hour of service.


OBITUARY:

Mr. Johnny Alston Sr. ""Johnson"" 80 had his transition on Sunday, December 21, 2014. He was born in Savannah, GA to Beatrice Alston and Johnny Johnson who preceded him in death. He was educated in Savannah Chatham County public schools. In his early years he was employed with Guerry Lumber and later was self employed as a Carpenter. He was a member of Saint Paul CME for 11 years.
Surviving are his lovely wife of 64 years, Gloria Geathers Alston; sons: James Fields, Michael Craig Alston, Johnny Alston, Jr., Jason Alston; daughters: Rochelle Williams, Patricia ""Pat"" Wright, Karen Green and Bernice Wall all of Savannah GA; as well as 28 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren; one sister Carolyn Brown; several nices, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the St. Paul Social Hall, 123 Brady St.
