Mr. Johnnie P. Jones, Jr.

Mr. Johnnie P. Jones, Jr. a beloved member of the Savannah community, passed away on April 8, 2025, at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia, at the age of 62. Born on August 30, 1962, in Savannah, he spent his life in the city he cherished, contributing to the rich tapestry of its history and culture.

Johnnie Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Paul Jones, Sr., and Parnell Mines Jones, both of Savannah, GA. He is survived by his cousins, Allynne Tosca Owens of Savannah, GA, Wanda Owens Jones of Atlanta, GA, Tiffany James Straughter of Savannah, GA, Avis Hull Buford of Mobile, AL, Gwen Marshall-Yarbor (Joseph) of City of South Fulton, GA, Portia Jones Benbow (Kenneth) of Atlanta, GA, Alvin Jones, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Allen Franklin Jones (ToiDerrica) of Savannah, GA, Alvin Jones, Sr. of Tignall, GA, and a host of other family and dear friends. 

A viewing will be held in his honor at Adams Funeral Services located at 510 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, GA 31405, on April 18, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Following this, a graveside service will take place at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, situated at 525 Leonard Neal Street, Savannah, GA 31409, on April 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM.

Johnnie's life was rich with memories and experiences that will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be missed deeply but fondly remembered for his unique spirit he shared with all.
